Some people think that meditation is about reducing stress, which is true. Others say that meditation is about healing, or improving your relationships, which also does happen. Others say that meditation is about equanimity in the face of difficulties. Good stuff! Yet, all of this happens because meditation gives you your own Self. When you are your own Self, you are not as stressed by stressful things. Your body and your mind heal more deeply and more easily. You are more present in your relationships. – Gurudevi Nirmalananda
